Once again this year, the companies of Gruppo Luci are organizing the European Safety Week, a well-established fixture in our corporate calendar and an opportunity to reflect and renew our commitment to protecting health and safety in the workplace.

Safety is a value that goes beyond compliance: it is a responsibility, a behaviour, a culture built day after day with consistency and awareness.

For this reason, the 2025 edition introduces a new, direct and accessible format: Safety Flash - 60 seconds of prevention, a series of short informational videos designed to talk about safety in a simple, concrete way that is close to people.

Safety Flash: safety in a minute, a new format for a message that reaches all

This year’s Safety Week introduced a new, immediate and accessible format: Safety Flash - 60 seconds of prevention, a video series made up of one-minute capsules, each dedicated to a specific workplace safety topic.

The initiative was conceived by Gesteco’s Safety Department with the aim of focusing employees’ attention on some of the most recurring risks at work, as well as those that often hide in everyday routines.

Each episode, about one minute long, addresses a specific theme through the voice of Francesco Lirussi, Health & Safety Lead for Gruppo Luci.

The tone is clear and direct, with an approach that promotes prevention as a conscious choice, not just a regulatory obligation.

Safety Week topics: from known risks to stronger awareness

Over the week, five episodes were published, each focused on one of the most critical and recurring areas:

  1. Falls from height and falling objects: among the leading causes of injury, addressed with a focus on prevention, PPE and control of work areas.
  2. Electric shock: an invisible but serious hazard that requires competence, clear procedures and appropriate equipment.
  3. Manual handling of loads: preventing musculoskeletal disorders and promoting correct posture.
  4. Commuting accidents: a reminder that safety starts on the journey to and from work.

Safety is a culture, not just a requirement: final reflections

Safety Week concluded with remarks by Adriano Luci, President of Gruppo Luci, and Bruzio Bisignano, a trainer with over 40 years of experience, reflecting on the human and cultural value of prevention and sharing thoughts on a safety culture, both at work and in everyday life.

In the closing video, Luci and Bisignano emphasized a truth that is often overlooked: safety cannot be imposed; it must be cultivated.

“Getting home safe and sound is the goal that unites us all.” - Adriano Luci

Safety does not end with equipment or signage; it lives in daily choices, behaviours and risk awareness. It concerns everyone, at every level of the organization: those who lead, those who operate, those who design, and those who decide.

A continuous commitment to workplace health and safety

The short video capsules will remain available to all employees, becoming an integral part of the Group companies’ internal communication and training programme, and beyond.

The goal is to keep the safety culture alive every day: it isn’t built in a week; it grows through everyone’s participation.

Explore every episode of the Safety Flash series - 60 seconds of prevention

Safety Flash 01 - FALLS FROM HEIGHT AND FALLING OBJECTS

In this first episode, we address a key topic: falls from height and falling objects, among the leading causes of workplace injuries. In just one minute, we outline the risks, how to prevent them, and why each of us plays a crucial role in everyone’s safety.

Safety Flash 02 - ELECTRIC SHOCK

A damaged cable, an exposed socket, or an uninsulated system can become a real hazard. For anyone working with electricity, specific training is mandatory, but it’s not enough: before any intervention, always isolate/power down the system, use the appropriate PPE, and follow safety procedures.

Safety Flash 03 - MANUAL HANDLING OF LOADS

This episode addresses musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs), among the most common workplace injuries, and offers practical tips on how to lift correctly, distribute effort, and protect your body.

Safety Flash 04 - COMMUTING ACCIDENTS

Commuting accidents, those that occur on the journey to and from work, are among the most frequent causes of incidents in our region. We often think risk starts at the workplace, but it actually begins the moment we get in the car. Fastening your seatbelt, respecting speed limits, and not using your phone while driving are simple actions, yet essential to protect your life and the lives of others.

Safety Flash 05 - REFLECTIONS ON SAFETY

Gruppo Luci’s Safety Week concludes with a special contribution from Adriano Luci and Bruzio Bisignano, offering an insight into safety culture and what it means today, between individual and collective responsibility. A message of awareness and future-oriented commitment.
